Jamie Spears agrees to resign as Britney's guardian

According to TMZ.com magazine, Mr. Jamie Spears has agreed that it is time to step down as guardian of Britney's estate (he just stated in new legal documents) and wants to work with the court on an orderly transition.

We have learned that Jamie's attorney is filing legal documents in which he says, "In fact, there is no real reason to suspend or remove Mr. Spears as conservator of the estate ... and it is highly debatable whether a guardian change in this time would be best for Mrs. Spears. "

And then the boom comes down ... "Yet even when Mr. Spears is the relentless target of unwarranted attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter for his continued service as her curator would be in the best interest of her. So while he must challenge this Unjustified Petition for removal, Mr. Spears intends to work with the Court and his daughter's new attorney to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservator. "

Doctors go on to say, "Regardless of his formal title, Mr. Spears will always be Ms. Spears's father, will always love her unconditionally, and will always look out for her best interests." He goes on to lash out at Lynne Spears, saying that she has had little to no involvement in guardianship, let alone in Britney's life for the past 13 years. He says his credibility is undermined because Britney herself refused to even see Lynne when she was in a mental health facility in 2019.

He says he essentially saved Britney when she was "in crisis, desperately in need of help" 13 years ago, adding: "Not only was she suffering mentally and emotionally, she was also being manipulated by predators and in financial distress. Spears came to her daughter's rescue to protect her. "

I also add that he has never forced her to do anything, including acting.
