"Yet even when Mr. Spears is the relentless target of unwarranted attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter for his continued service as her curator would be in the best interest of her. Doctors go on to say, "Regardless of his formal title, Mr. Spears will always be Ms. Spears's father, will always love her unconditionally, and will always look out for her best interests." He goes on to lash out at Lynne Spears, saying that she has had little to no involvement in guardianship, let alone in Britney's life for the past 13 years. He says his credibility is undermined because Britney herself refused to even see Lynne when she was in a mental health facility in 2019.
He says he essentially saved Britney when she was "in crisis, desperately in need of help" 13 years ago, adding: "Not only was she suffering mentally and emotionally, she was also being manipulated by predators and in financial distress. Spears came to her daughter's rescue to protect her. "
